Custom Yard Signs That Get Your Message Seen

Keep Your Yard Sign Simple
When someone is driving past your sign, you may only have a few seconds to catch their attention. That means less is often more when it comes to yard sign design. Focus on one main message and make the most important information easy to see at a glance.
Choose large, easy-to-read lettering and avoid packing too much information onto the sign. As a general guideline, your main message should have letters at least 3–4 inches tall, and important information may need to be even larger depending on how far away the sign will be viewed. High contrast between your background and lettering can also make your message easier to read from a distance.
Don’t Forget About Bleed
If your design or background color extends all the way to the edge of your sign, your artwork needs to include bleed. Bleed gives us extra artwork beyond the final cut line so we can trim the sign without leaving an unwanted white edge.
It’s also important to keep logos, phone numbers, website addresses and other important information away from the edges of your design. Even with bleed, you want to give your important content a comfortable margin so nothing feels crowded or gets too close to the finished edge.
